Sexual Energies After Sexual Abuse
By Starr Fuentes
Here is a healing structure to change your energies after living with the energies of sexual abuse.
Focus on knowing, having, and participating in healthy sexual relationships.
A. Mutual consent on all energetic and physical issues.
B. Equality of personal power in the relationship and in domestic issues.
C. Mutual respect on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.
D. Mutual trust on all physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.
E. Communicate, communicate, and communicate.
F. Feeling safe and comfortable in all sexual situations.
||It is an important goal to integrate emotional closeness (intimacy) into love-making. Sexual interaction can become an expression of feelings and connection to the Divine.
||Activate the process of dealing with old intrusive thoughts or flashbacks by not “avoiding” them and by using healing techniques or processes to shift them.
||Work on transforming feelings of guilt, disgust, shame, or embarrassment which may come up during sexual activity. Or when sexual energy is activated
||Start looking forward to sexual activity as becoming more natural, pleasurable, fun; a healthy and enjoyable expression.
||Work through any challenges you may have with the balance between giving and receiving physical pleasure. allow yourself to get in touch with what pleases you physically; give yourself permission to ask for it and to enjoy receiving. Honor your boundaries.
||Learn the skills of staying in the “NOW” and of how to eliminate thinking about the past or future altogether. Stay out of your head and in your heart during sexual activity.
||Educate your self about healthy relationships. What they look like, feel like and sound like. Educate your self about sexual energy.
||Learn about boundaries. Work on creating and keeping healthy boundaries in your life.
||Stay in your body. Learn to recognize when you are not in your body.
||Find the place in your self that honors who you are. And can honor the person your with.
||Grow up! Observe adults in adult relationships. Seek the parts of you that are immature and work on getting your values and priorities in order.
